When folks recognize how clones are fundamentally inferior to original cell structures - the blissful ignorance and acceptance now by the scientific community - eager for the 'appearance' of progress in any form - will vanish.
Several generations from now the same problems will not abate.
If I take a photocopy of a masterpiece - it will never be a masterpiece.
The premature aging process is one of MANY millions of genetic defects created by DNA undergoing out of phase relationships.
In other words when the countless wave forms carrying data are balanced and on equilibrium in the original DNA -- the artificial cloning process creates a spurious DNA signal - filled with countless distortions.
Mental retardation, kidney disease, cancers of every type, sclerosis of all organs, arthiritis, blindness, premature aging...all these, and so many more as yet entirely unknown to humanity, are the 'blessings' which are put upon the 'clone'.
Cloned tissues and organs would be markedly inferior and in 2310, genetic tests will easily 'weed out' the cloned tissue as black market 'junk' and land organ traders in big trouble. No one wants an organ which is going to cause them endless trouble.
No, cloning is one of those scientific dead ends. No improvements can be made to balance those signals - because they are not receiving the intelligent signals which keep them so finely balanced - all the way down to the quantum level.
Here in a nutshell is the main problem...
new DNA is formed by TWO UNIQUE strands of DNA. It is this DUALITY which provides for BALANCE because of NEW SIGNALS which can be formed from the two.
The process of 'replication' simply tries to get an existing DNA strand to replicate its signal in a 'receptive' cell.
No matter how hard you try - that ORIGINAL DNA - will exist IN AN IMBALANCED manner in the new cell ...and likewise all organs it reproduces from signals in the DNA are now slightly distorted as well.
It becomes an IMPERFECT facsimile of the original signal. Instead of NEW DNA which CAN BALANCE and IMPROVE upon existing DNA...clones can only become worse and exist in a DETERIORATED state from the original.
NO matter how finely a photocopy is made - it is always slightly off. Each successive photocopy exaggerates the distortions and creates new ones.
While this analogy seems out of place - it is very much the problem cloned DNA faces as it reproduces imperfectly.
REAL DNA is HARMONICALLY MATCHED to specific CELL structures.
Even identical twins, triplets, etc. are superior to clones - because the split is made AFTER the DNA has already been BALANCED.
Clones are not like twins or triplets...their DNA is not just a copy of someone else - but is an INFERIOR, IMPERFECT copy.
IF it seems I feel strongly about this - it's because I do ;-)
It is the solemn responsibility of those who understand something to do all in their power to avert human suffering and the detrioration of the human race upon an enormous, unimaginable scale.
No religious or puritan bone in my body..yet my love for mankind and humanity is such that...
seeing a 4 year old clone girl blind and with kidney failure...
...or a ten year old boy with a tumor ridden body...
...or a newborn with leukemia and palsy by two weeks...
is UNACCEPTABLE when such suffering and misery is COMPLETELY AVOIDABLE.
Larry is right EGO is the guilty party...EGO and GREED. The many companies envision the royalties flowing from a patented cloning technique.
Ironicallly, in time, when the horrors and distortions are fully understood - the name of this person would be despised almost universally - and the LAWSUITS from those who were UNINFORMED about the flaws will be COUNTLESS - breaking these companies and individuals.
However, just like pestilence and plague - once genetic distortions are out in any significant number - they reproduce and cause more suffering.
It is my fervent desire to do all in my power to avert such completely unnecessary suffering.
Humanity has enough suffering - we don't need any more gargantuan burdens.
Best wishes,

Don't bet the farm on it...why CLONING can NEVER work.
