<...Its funny you ask because tonignt I found a picture that was very relevant to recent discussions on the Current Events board. I chose not to post it because I find the website very objectionable.
I have often run across cases where I have rejected useful factual information because the link was on a site I objected to. Posting links to information posted at objectionable sites should not reflect on me, but I have found that the stench of a site tends to rub off, particularly in political arguments, and frankly, who needs it.
Usually, the same information is available elsewhere with a little more legwork. A good example: the link on the Hoagland "Enterprise" web site which debunks the Apollo Hoax Theory, and actually quite well. Still, a little more research found me references that were just as useful elsewhere, without the Hoagland baggage attached. Another example was a case where I was looking up government statistics on immigration. The first search engine result was indeed a page of official and accurate government statistics, but it was on some Neo-Nazi site which was using it to back some crackpot race theory. Again, the same information was available elsewhere after some digging, in this case straight from the original government agency site (the best solution).

Good info, bad sources.
