<Nah, but they sure have made a mess of our foreign policy and given us a bad name worldwide. Try travelling with an American passport to different countries and see how well you're treated....


I for one have travelled to foriegn countries on my US passport. I was treated rather well as an American. You see many people wish they were Americans and would do nearly anything to get into this country or to get to travel under a US passport. Sure, there were some who used the word "Ami" (pronounced ah-mee) like a four letter word, but the majority were decent and respectful of my citizinship and homeland.

While I was a resident in Germany from '94 to '97, we were always being warned by the US consulate about thieves stealing our passports. I know a few people that had to go to the consulate to get a new passport sent to them because they were stolen. It was rumored that a US passport went for $30,000 on the blackmarket.

Now if America is so bad, why are so many flocking through her borders any way they can. Could it be they are trying to improve their lives, Dennis.

From your comments Dennis I highly doubt, you have wandered far off of US soil. Try heading south of our borders some day, to see how other parts of the world live. It will change your views for sure. Maybe then you will come to appreciate what you take for granted.
