With all that's going on in the world there are still some that agonize over the names of sports teams.

I have no idea whether or not native Americans are offended by this nickname. I have heard that they approve of "Indians" and "Braves". The RS front office says "Redskins" refers to warpaint but the dictionary says otherwise.

If American Indians consider this nickname a slur then maybe it should be changed. BUT:

Does anyone other than the supposedly offended party (native Americans in this case) have a right to raise this question?

Is this more ultra-liberal elitists who have decided that the poor savages don't have the ability to look after their own dignity?
