What is really interesting is that although military action is still apparently taking place daily in Afghanistan, with major assaults on Taliban forces by the U.S., the entire operation has somehow fallen into the category of "Not News Anymore," and is not receiving intensive coverage by much of the media. Attacks and battles manage to make it onto the "crawl" at the bottom of the cable news station screens, but not much further.

I don't know if this is good or bad in the long run, but it may help our military if they are not being second-guessed every five minutes by news anchors.

It's all ENRON now. A cynic might say that the media has a motive to push "Makes Bush Look Good" news off the page so that "Make Bush Look Bad" news can be put there, but I'm no cynic. Am I?
