PENTAGON
A United States special forces aircraft has been hit by small arms fire while taking part in an exercise in the northern Philippines, a Pentagon spokesman said.
No-one was injured in the incident.
"One of the rounds came up through the floor near a crew member," said Lieutenant Commander Jeff Davis, a Pentagon spokesman.
He said the US Air Force MC-130 came under fire yesterday while engaged in a low-level training mission in the island of Luzon as part of an exercise with the Philippines military.
