The trio, who is thought to be Russian, are suspected of breaking into inactive accounts of eBay users and inserting their own information. They then posted items for auction. Buyers from the United States and Canada sent checks, but police say the trio never sent, or intended to send, the items.

BEAVER FALLS, PA
Neighbors of the woman whom police arrested in connection with an alleged Internet scam described her Thursday as evasive about her background, telling one that she was a foreign exchange student passing through Beaver County on her way to Florida.

The woman, who told neighbors her name was Diana, stayed at two apartments in Beaver County in the past few weeks.

One of the apartments was in a house at 1106 Irwin St. in Aliquippa, and another was along a lake at 124 Kathleen Drive in Marion Township.

On Tuesday, police charged the woman, identified as Jane Doe with aliases of Tatsiana Vladimirovna Zverava and Diana Lutsevich, 20, with one count each of theft, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a computer.

Aliquippa police also arrested a man identified as John Doe, with aliases of Viachaslau Charnashei, Walter Zidovsky, Peter Kavalsky and Slava. They are still looking for a third person with aliases of Sergei Dmitrotchenko and Paul.
