Many flaws in this article

The biggest one, which is also in the figures given by Raoul, is that the ocupied territories of Gaza and the West Bank are not part of Israel, nor is there any plan to make them part of Israel. Israel has already offered to rein in the crazy settlers and give up control of nearly the entire thing, if only the Palestinian Authority would do their job, stop terrorist attacks, and offer meaningful guarantees of security.

The author also makes the mistake of considering the entire non-Jewish population of Israel as potential enemies, or as a challenge or problem for Israel's existence and characterization as a Jewish state. What about Christian and Muslim Arabs who are pro-Israel? What about those serving proudly in the IDF? What about pro-Israel Druze and Bedouin, and the (very) pro-Israel immigrants from the former Soviet Union? The author can't seriously contend that the latter immigrants would stay on the sidelines in a war between Israel and her hostile, aggressive neighbors!! They are an asset for israel and should be counted as such.

I'm also amused by the continual harping of anti-Israeli authors on the expulsion of Arabs from their homes in Israel, yet never a word of the approximately equal number of Jews who were expelled, and robbed of all their possessions, from Arab states.

The approximate parity between the number of Jews and the number of Palestinians in both Israel and the territories only underscores the wrongheaded decision by the Arabs in rejecting the original two-state proposal following WWII. This region is the ancestral homeland of both parties and there's no rational reason why it can't be shared.
Whe the Palestinians are truly ready for peace and stop trying to destroy Israel, it might be possible. Not until then.
