Bush just got in a quickie for Hillary who had to sit in attendance. Republicans are not good at self flagellation (surely you know they are just sadists and not masochists - every liberal knows that ;-)

The feel good era of excessive consumption which mimicked the evil eighties - yet exceeded it in sheer excess by a factor of five.

And compared to the evil eighties where everyone was wealthier (thanks to Reagan...God Bless him!) the Now Nineties were an elitist excess cued to begin with Clinton's tarmac haircut at LAX and his wanna-be hollywood celebrity worship. The masses took on two or more jobs and pay cuts in each - while the elitists ripped off folks more brazenly then ever and swam in Chanel no 5 in their Spun gold Gucci swimsuits.

All while our military was downsized and our secrets sold for political contributions to the DNC.

Bush just pointed out what anyone with a brain already knew - America had chose hedonistic materialism over character and youth over experience.

We all have paid a heavy price for that decision - and not all the roosters have come home on this one either.

And as for the Bush budget - already receiving flak in some quarters - if we do not approve it - I wonder just what price we will have to pay in the future?
