Environmentalists wrong about water for farmers harming fish?

You know, if this pans out and environmentalist positions and regulations are shown to be responsible for the farmers' losses, what do you think the chances are that they are held financially responsible, in the same way corporations that screw up are?

Yeah, slim to none. They are never held responsible for the consequences of their edicts and fuzzy science. Maybe the government (i.e. the rest of us) will be made to cough up for this, but groups like the Wilderness Society and other greens will never suffer any negative impact for this or any other destructive policy.

Even suggesting that such organizations be financially responsible for their errors is received with horror: "How can we do our job if we have to worry about what might happen to us if we're wrong?"
