Another cowboy's in office?

I seem to remember how nice Iran became "5 minutes" after Reagan was sworn in, and how sorry the Iranian government was about dragging the bodies of our pilots through the streets of Tehran.

I know. That's old news. That's, gosh, more than 20 years ago. Nobody's like that now.

Iran has burned this nation bad in the past, and words of cooperation are hardly enough. I want action. I'd like to see those sentiments you mention emerge just a little further into the warmth of daylight, please.

At the moment, though, it's all politics. Next week, Iran may be the next 'hot-bed' for news and we'll get real reports on the local sentiments. They saw Iraq as a target not so long ago, and they saw the annihilation of the Taliban government very recently, and very quickly.

Of course they wanna be buddies.
