Current Events

Some worrying developments.

There are a slew of major and minor news tidbits that are cause for concern.
There are also bits of alarming info that can be derived from what's not revealed or explained in the NEWS
HEADLINES.
Example: Johnny [turncoat] Walker has
apparently confessed that his El Qaeda
commanders informed him that 50 suicide
terrorists were being sent to America,
last year, on "20" suicide missions. Twenty of those terrorists are accounted for [19 dead; one in prison in Virginia]but where are the other thirty?
Also, if there were 20 suicide terrorist
missions planned against America, only
five can be listed [four on Sept/11;
one maybe the "shoebomber"]. That leaves 15 suicide-missions not carried out...yet.
Arithmetically, that works out to
roughly a pair of [still at large] terrorists per planned suicide terrorist mission.

More worrisome, even alarming, is the fact that while American, Canadian, Mexican, Jamaican, even Bahamanian
major airports have high-security
[with X-Ray machines, search dogs,
metal scanners, etc.] poorer
Western Hemispheric nations like Haiti
or Grenada, or Guyana don't necessarily
have such security resources at their international airports.
I hope I'm "only crying wolf", because if my concerns and suspicions are based on facts, then El Qaeda terrorists may use Haiti or Guyana's
airports as new staging areas for
suicide air-attacks agianst America.

I suspect the international airport
at Haiti may have security personnel
with metal-scanning "wands" and with armed police nearby...but that would be
of little consolation if a pair, or even four, El Qaeda terrorists boarded a 727 on its way to Miami, smuggling
fully-loaded handguns, instead of
boxcutters, inserted inside partially-gutted "lap-top" computers.
[it's possible to partially gut a lap-top to make space for a smuggled handgun and leave enough connected
functioning microchips and batteries to fool some people into thinking you have a genuinely fully-functioning laptop].

Obviously, if terrorists succeeded
in smuggling such weapons onboard an aircraft leaving Haiti, they would
find a "target-rich" environment in Miami [include a nuke plant nearby],
or [less likely] the plane could be diverted by them to maybe attack some of those oil-refineries in Dubya's homestate: Galveston-Houston area
comes to mind.

Since this is a lengthy topic,
I'll finish my post later...
