Enron gave money to a lot of politicians. The real question isn't necessarily the dollar amount but what they got for their money. During the Clinton Administration, Enron got to travel on official Commerce Department trips and was given some big help from the US with landing a big contract in India. During the Bush Administration, they offered input to the Cheney Energy Task Force (oh, the horror of asking an energy company about energy policy!) that has no force of law. When their company was about to go bankrupt, they called a couple cabinet officials but got nothing in return. So, which is worse?
