Pet cloning is pretty much wretched excess considering the huge surplus of animals that need homes. I think that pet cloning is going to crap out once people realized that a pet's personality is nature and nurture, and discover that Fluffy II just isn't the same cat at all as the original Fluffy, and probably has health problems to boot.
Never mind the tactical nuclear hit on the wallet.
Then there's the cats in the back room of the lab...
