A little loose on the title, I think. "Comedy" is an art, and only exists in the eye of the beholder. I think Hollywood should consider "entertainer" as a better title.
Now, some folks just can't help but be funny, such as Jonathan Winters, Cid Ceasar, Robin Williams, and Bill Murray, but c'mon. There are plenty of gays in Hollywood who easily beat Bernhard's time -- simply because they enjoy comedy and can actually BE funny.
As for what she said, it's expected. Ill-mannered carreerless people are usually found to be in bad moods.
