Here's a case of a prominent AIDS activist who used political pressure and lobbying to get a liver transplane even though it was not medically approved by the big bad HMO. You won't read this in this PC Boston Globe article, but what stinks about this story is the fact that every year qualified, deserving people die because an organ is not available. Instead, this selfish person uses the PC AIDS cause and the race card, and abetted by gutless pols like Mindless Menino Mayor of Boston, wastes a good liver that could have gone to a healthier, lower risk recipient. A recipient who WILL die because no organ is available.
