Regarding the murder of the Van Damm girl in San Diego...Is it just me or does anyone else think that the cavalier attitude to finding doors open in the middle of the night just might have something to do with being mellowed out on a fine bong? Let me 1st say that I am for decriminialization of controlled substances. However, parents of small children must be ever vigilant and not let alcohol or other activities distract them. The fact that these parents "left out" this information to the cops when their daughter was missing speaks volumes about their value judgements of self interest vs. the kid's welfare in my opinion.
