Didn't get any notice below, think I know why. No battle won, but the other guys strategy seems clear.

Tariffs = sales tax on the poorer, mostly. (Cars, houses, etc., will cost more because the government is collecting taxes on imports.)

GWBs tax breaks = shovel it to the richer.

Nothing wrong with that - right-wing, conservative agenda to the max.

Now, if he flakes out on shovelling it to the richer, he'd be in big trouble, wouldn't he? Tom B. on tax cut follow-through

Isn't this a convincing demonstration of the true strategy of the Republican right-wing? Could it be more clear to the seeing eye, the reasoning mind?

How do they manage to "sell" this idea to the not real wealthy? To the people that a $1,000 higher price on a new house would be a concern? Beyond me, but overall I'd think you'd have to be dumb as a box of rocks or an (initials deleted) do fall for such a line. And most of you aren't that dumb.
