Asian dust storm at Pacific Coast

While comet, planet and star gazing from Grizzly Peak (Berkeley, CA) we noticed the horizon was dirty looking, but not sure if it was from the dust storm . Stories around here are you can see twinkling in the northern horizon at dusk, but I'm skeptical. Apparently Oregon has experienced a multi car pile up do to dust on Saturday.
