The problem is that this is the picture Arafat is showing the world -- and taking nationality away from Palestine in favor of the UN squatters (that’s Israel, btw) is becoming a very acceptable idea. There are no easy answers here, but attacking and intentionally targeting civilian, religious activities in the midst of peace negotiations is not the act of a people seeking peace. Arafat needs to change this, and barring this, the Palestinian people need to become involved, to stand together against the Hammas and suicide bombings, to close their borders against the martyr-funding nations -- no matter how lucrative a career it may seem to be.

It’s a little late in the day for it, but the right thing getting done still has to happen.
