Bush can no longer afford to sit on the fence. He needs to get involved heavily and personally even. A lot of people like to criticize Clinton for the failed peace process he pushed so strongly at the end of his admin., but the bottom line is his involvement was far better than Bush's hands-off approach.

Bush needs to push the Mitchell plan or the Zinni plan or whatever, they're all the exact same plan as the Clinton plan anyway. The whole region will blow up if this keeps up, and that will play right into the radicals hands.

Bush deserves a good deal of criticism for not taking much stronger diplomatic action in the last couple of months.
