Short of magically being transformed into a Palestinian, and spending ten years over there, I doubt there's any real way my whitebread butt could come to any significant degree of understanding as to what those people are going through. And let's face it, one day in to my ten-year stint, I'd probably be willing to do anything to get back here.
Having said that, It's still my considered--if only partly educated--opinion that if the Palestinians used peaceful means, they'd find themselves closer to their goal. Perhaps Israel has the leader it does today because it keenly feels the heat Palestinians are so desperately trying to apply. So they put a pitbull at the helm, not a dove.
Naive? Probably. Lacking insight? Granted.
Just an opinion, not worth the electron movement required to deliver it.
