It time, the act will face him and demand acknowledgement -- to be felt -- and the sooner he realizes this, the sooner he’ll understand himself -- or at least understand himself better. Combat is a tough place to suddenly grow up in. A slice of human potential ended at his hand. A piece of us all died that day. It was never his fault, but he must not think himself any more innocent that the rest of the world -- any more innocent that anybody else on this bloody planet.
There’s just no real way to put the experience -- not with words.
