What is this, "how far we can distort history day"?

I could swear the authorization for this passed a Republican House of Representatives, a Senate with the absolute slimmest of Democrat margins, and was signed by a Republican President.

Intuitively it would seem the Republican House didn't have to pass it, and the Republican President didn't have to sign it. It would seem that without Republican connivance it wouldn't have happened. Stress "seem", that's not an "in-depth" analysis, just off the top of my head.

And somehow good ol' eb thinks that it's Daschle's WIFE who is responsible. Anyone want to explain that one?
