Among other things, the Israeli Army is chewing up olive orchards and fruit trees. The purpose is to deny Palestinians a way to make a living - except by working for Israelis for less money than an Israeli will.
Israel is like a bully with a club and whip beating the hell out of someone while they are down. When the victim raises a hand to hit back, the bully becomes enraged and wails harder.
