Oil prices back up
and the ablity to mount an oil embargo with some chance of success increased.
A lot of people fear an oil embargo, but in my opinion suspension of trade relations is better than war.
Another opinion which I've held for a long time is that the US needs to get its energy policy together, and that includes oil conservation (including higher milage "suburban battle wagons"), drilling in Alaska and elsewhere (like coastal areas) and clean nuclear energy.
