Precision, Phil. That's an awfully broad brush you swung around there. We both know one can walk from one end of the city of Boston to the other and find people whose only attitude held in common is a universal disregard for traffic signals. Think about how much difference among individuals there would be walking across a whole continent.

Europeans are good people. You may even have had a few in your family. ;)
