I'd love to hear of examples where UN deployments...
actually achieved their objectives before I'd put any faith in them. Off hand, I can't think of any examples where they actually solved critical issues or stopped fighting between factions. Lacking much of a success record, it's rather foolish to believe the UN could go into one of the most hotly disputed areas on Earth and do anything postive.
