I can't tell you how sorry I am. I realize that friendly fire is always a hazard in warfare, and that people serving in the armed forces are acutely aware of this. Nevertheless, shooting at (or bombing) one's best friends by mistake and killing some of them is too awful.
My heart goes out to the families of the casualties.
