We nearly saw something similar when the hard core left took over the dems in 1972 and ran McGovern, with McGovern running as a leftist LePen.
I don't like the stench of arrogance wafting from the Euros right now; between the crypto-antisemitism rearing its very ugly head, to this loud dismisall of a legitimate election, I think the Euro golden age will pass surprisingly swiftly.
