I've always been led to believe that the "Settlements" were built on land purchased from the Palestinians. Am I mistaken here?
I agree that they are inhabitted by many religous zelots who veiw living in the settlements as a way to establish a legitimate "claim" to the land for Isreal. But that is not in and of itself "Stealing" the land.
I think the "Settlement" issue is one that is being blown out of proportion.
The Arabs just hate the Jews. Period. Take away the Settlements and the hatred is still there. There is no solution.
