There are no "non-combatants" in a race war
and that is exactly what we are looking at - high popluation densities - 7 million Israelis, 7 million Palestinians - a land with an ecology destroyed by millenia of use - deforested, top soil long since washed away, no hydrological cycle left - and strong "religious" convictions.
