What is being conveniently being glossed over with all this crap is that in the decade prior to the invasion of Poland in 1939, Adolf Hitler was just another loudmouthed world leader, seen as no sleazier than many others, and everybody and their cat was doing business with Germany at that time. But that's neither here nor there, I guess.

This whole thing is part of a large Internet fad which is trying to paint the Republican Party as a huge Nazi conspiracy. There are hundreds of sites, each of them describing in loving detail step by step a conspiracy involving pretty much anyone you can think of who ever even thought of voting Republican. It would take three years for me to dissect this stuff and track down any sort of truth.

Is any of this relevant? Should Ted Kennedy resign because his ancestor made his money as a rumrunner?

It's funny how many leftists keep bringing up this kind of thing and then turn around and demand that we open trade with Fidel Castro. With totalitiarian dictators, the label is the important thing I guess.
