“As the C-141 plane carrying the prisoners touched down on the runway, four Humvees carrying .50-caliber machine guns surrounded it and heavily armed Navy helicopter hovered above.”
“The orange jump-suited prisoners were handcuffed and shackled, their eyes covered by black goggles to prevent them from learning the layout of the base.”
Presumably they were handcuffed, shackled and blindfolded for the entire trip.
Anytime it takes a helicopter, 4 humvees, .50 caliber machine guns, presumably .30 caliber wouldn’t do, as well as your normal contingent of guards to handle cuffed, shackled and blindfolded prisoners, you can bet those prisoners are tough.
I would think that with all that firepower, if there were a disturbance some friendly could get shot.
Would rather have anyone that onery on my side, to be honest with you. Or shoot ‘em. Mean motorscooters!
