Don't hold your breath....

There just against any agricultural subsidy that doesn't benefit their home States.

This is a chance for them to take a courageous stand against "BIG AGRICULTURE". While playing up to the voters at home.

Lets see them take away the water rights of farmers in the California Desert. Afterall, the taxpayer is paying more to bring those farmers water than they are making in profits. And in the process the ecology is being destroyed, The Colorado River runs dry in Mexico, farm prices plummit as unneeded surplus comoddities are brought to market, and the farmers are forced into a position of asking for more subsidies because the prices can't sustain a break-even operation.

In short, they are creating a self-perpetuating welfare-farming class.
