The point of my post
Was not to dvocate killing children.
It was to make the point starkly that until we find a way to fight the enemy so that he fears us more than he hates us we will not win.
They have no wish to negotiate a settlement, and they want to kill our children. This is not an easy war.
It might be instructive to recall that Japan was perfectly willing to fight large scale battles with suicide weapons and tactics. Until we hit them in such a way that it was clear that even their fighting to the death was to no avail did they surrender.
And they surrendered basically unconditionally; there was not a negotiated settlement.
