Fuad Shubaki, the green eyeshade man for Yasser Arafat, has been sprung by the Palestinian Authority. Shubaki is the finance man for Arafat, and was described by those in the know as the one man who could put the finger on Arafat for his terrorist activities. Like Al Capone's accountant, a man who definitely knows too much. Now that charges have been dropped, it's a small step to letting him go.

In an earlier post, I made the painfully obvious prediction that either Shubaki would be freed by the Palestinians (regardless of the agreement that lifted the seige on Ramallah) and fade into the woodwork, or that he would have some kind of "accident," probably blamed on Israel. Possibly both. Let's see what happens to him now.
