Greetings Rob, Tom and Mary Anne:)

Thanks for the correction Mary Anne, thinking back I was probably not just by the race of the person I attributed the quote too... but by some centuries too... said it was medieval, now dimly recall it being 16th or 17th century.

And Rob, you are quite right about Us ( The British and French Empires) ...haveing a lot to do with the current troubles in many places around the world....Palestine, Kashmir and Kuwait ( the Gulf).. too name but three.... were all botched jobs by Hard pressed British Foriegn Office types withdrawing from an empire in a damned hurry, under pressure and not thinking long term.

Back to work for me..:)

97 Cabernet? Just wish I could afford it as anything other then a rare treat.

Mary Anne, honoured to meet you, please post more often.
