Aparently, a lone gunperson in the NO airport < a href=http://www.iw3p.com/DailyPundit/2002_05_19_dailypundit_archive.php#85111044>; blasted a coupla folks with his shotgun before being taken down by bystanders.

Coupla points.

1. Where were our crack Federal airport security employees? You know, the ones who we pay more $ to and nice federal benefits and pensions to because we'll get better airport security. Right. Meanwhile, a guy in a turban strolls thru an airport with a shotgun. I never understood the mantra of make 'em Feds and pay 'em more and they'll check the bags better, but hey.

2. And this is significant... Apparantly this loser in life's game was taken down by ordinary citizens. After 911, in the spirit of Flight 93 (God love 'em) our citizens are not gonna stand by and just let stuff happen.
