Containers

I don't know much about them, but do know a little.

To obtain one to ship is a bit expensive, takes credit, takes having a use.

Then it has to have a manifest, a list of the contents, which is verified by someone legitimate, or at least appeares legitimate.

Then someone has to pay for the shipping.

It needs a destination, and the name of a carrier who will pick it up. That carrier needs documentation regarding that container.

And then it has to go somewhere.

Now, a dummy company could easily be set up, dummy manifests, one time checking accounts created, and all that. It could be shipped off with anyone listed as the pickup carrier.

And people could climb out in the yard where the shipper drops it.

But, they could well find themselves inside a fenced, patrolled area. There would be a lot of containers, some with very valuable stuff inside.

All of the stuff could be dummied. And, it would leave a trail. A financial trail, and a physical trail - where it was picked up, who picked it up, who certifiec the contents, and so on.

Containers sound simple, and it sounds ingenious. And it is, it's just not as easy as climbing into a box and calling a trucking outfit.
