Bowser... Sir.....

reading the headline... and some of the first paragraph of your post filled me with forebodeing........... I make a specific refernence in a post just a litlle earlier then yours about the relationship between the political and the military wings of government.

In essence the point I made was that the military always called in when the politicians fail.

A point I didn't make there, but will here, is that I've always looked sideways at a politician who calls for even greater taxpayers expenditure on weaponry..........what does he expect..........or know.............that he is about to fail at?

When a countries military budget is already the equal of the next ten big spenders combined... ( And most of those are long term Nato allies , like the Uk anyway).........and Bush has called for yet more tax-payers money to be rammed into the coffers of the arms makers...just how big a miscalculation does he think he might make?
