Daring Dan

My, my.....how DARING of you! LOL

Yes, and the "rules" at highschools get more and more ridiculous every year in their quest to squash individuality and apply conformity. Kids find ways around this, and with no creative outlets, they actually could become more of a problem.
I think they should have metal detectors at the high schools...and the wands.
The staff need to be warned who the trouble-makers are, and have the security guards go from there.

>And as for alerting trouble-makers to security -- why?

I thought of Columbine...kids know who the kids are who carry guns and knives to school. They COULD rat them out and have security perform random checks on them. I think this would lower the probablity of them bringing weapons to school.

I said "As a woman, I like to travel with nail clippers, a file and tweezers. Now I am constrained to broken, rough, catchy nails, because some 65 year old man can't tell the difference between me and a terrorist.

And you remarked:The flight probably won’t be too awful long, and I’m sure you’ll be able to survive being deprived of your obvious implements of torture and death for such a short time.

Yeah Dan, easy for you to say! Obviously you've never broken a nail away from home!
