Overall, I would say that this verdict will be good for the American Economy in the long run
Anderson will soon be in bankruptcy court. Where it deserves to be. Hopefully, charges will be pursued against several of the higher-ups there and at Enron and a clear message will be sent to corporate America: Don't abuse the Capital market system or serious jail time awaits.
If they all get off with little more than a slap on the wrist then another clear message will be sent: Don't trust the American Capital markets.
Or as they would say in Latin with much sarcasm: Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware)
In short: Convictions good for the markets. Acquittals bad for the markets.
