OK! This is not just a political commentary, nor wishful thinking
[how many pundits out there wish for peace in Israel?] but more of an engineering challenge.
I know some of you are electronic engineers, so this is a challenge for
you engineers out there: Come up with technology to neutralize the threat posed to Israeli Jews by palestinian suicide-bombers.
You up to the challenge, huh?
OK! I read recently that T-Rays
[terrahertz-rays] will penetrate clothing to reveal what's underneath
[a bomb? a handgun?].
That could be one approach. The only drawbacks are ethical and financial.
Another possibility could be...since
dynamite strapped to one's body needs
an [electric] detonator, that means
metal wires required...Could a modified, portable microwave-device send microwave impulses to penetrate clothing and 'bounce' off those concealed wires at a safe distance?...Or, another idea: Could
a microwave device ionize those wires,
causing premature detonation
at a safe distance from innocent bystanders...or at least generate
"secondary" electro-magnetic emissions
that can serve as a tell-tale sign that
a bomb might be present on that person?
Jacob
Could advanced technology succeed in neutralizing suicide bombers in Israel?
