First, someone ought to tell them about 9-11 and WTC. No need for nukes. They used our own stuff against us. And did it in broad daylight, planning the thing for years. And we were warned. Could probably have stopped it.

Second, someone ought to take them to any port in the US, or any raliroad yard and show them what a “container” looks like. Open a door, show them how big it is, that sort of thing. Where a warhead would fit, or even a “device”. Wouldn’t have to be sophisticated.

The process - get a device, ship it, untraceable.

The missile defense system is such a boondoggle. First, a country would have to have nuclear weapons. Warheads, not just devices.

Second, it would have to have a rocket capable of reaching the US. That would have been tested, the US would know it.

Third, it would have to have launch facilities. Those also would have been tested, and known.

Fourth, it would have to have a very strong desire to be obliterated.

The process - develop a warhead, not just "device", develop a rocket and guidance system, build launch facilities, launch, wait to be obliterated.

Or, it could ship a device inside a container. All evidence would be atomized, all the paperwork, no one would even know what container it came in. And it would be hard to trace.

We can spend $238 billion, according to one article, on something no one is dumb enough to do.

OR, we can spend a few billion making sure our borders are safe.

Ya gotta wonder. Talk about fighting the last war.
