Supreme Court rules school vouchers are constitutional

<This is hardly surprising, although perhaps the 5-4 decision is surprising for being so close. After all, it has been legal (and has passed SC muster) for decades to use tax money to attend colleges like Notre Dame or SMU using programs like Pell Grants and the GI Bill. Why would it be different for K-12 education? Why the artificial distinction?

I believe the key point of the ruling is that the Cleveland program gives the voucher to the parents who then decide where to use it. This is the same thing that happens with programs like Pell Grants and the GI Bill.
