I ran an R&D group in So Cal in the mid-nineties. I'd appointed a Pakistani (Muslim) HW manager and an Indian (Hindu) SW manager. Both great guys. Worked well together. This is precisely what has made American culture superior to European, etc. culture. People come here from the old country and live, work and intermarry. Another example is the Catholic Micks in Boston mixing with Protestants. It may not always be smooth as silk but our cultural tradition here is that we're all countrymen. That's one reason that I oppose alternate language schooling programs. Not only do they NOT work, but they're culturally divisive and isolating.
