*Sees sparks start to smoulder in firepit* Time for the centrist fireman to step in.

Yes, the Democrats are insane, with some of their rules bordering on eldritch insanity. Same thing goes for the leftists; and when it comes down to the final countdown, the candidates will be judged on more than their economic standpoints and those of their respective party's. I don't see any of the Republican candidates winning because they come off as backwater jackasses, and if Obama waited a term before attempting reelection, I don't think he'd win either. Some of the stuff he says is very different from the stuff he does.

That being said, I still think Obama's the shoo-in for the next four years, simply because he's the lesser of two evils. We're gonna be screwed one way or the other, but I'd rather prefer the intrusive probe to the satanic buttrape.

The last party-favouring congress I've heard of was the infamous "Radical Republican" one. I haven't heard of anything like it since. I don't know how much of the people in congress are "communists", but if the organisation as a whole get's equal amounts of crap from both sides, I'd say it's pretty balanced with some bias torwards lobbyists.
