I was checking out a South American movie “Indio” (an Italian production) last year (I love the jungle flix). The main character was introducing an acquaintance to something called a bushmaster (I’ve met a few of them personally during my tours in Panama -- also the company mascot for both my tours [B Co. Bushmasters 4/20 Mech & B Co 4/10 Light Infantries). Anyway, he said his people called the snake “Aaah!”, because that’s all they have time to say once they’ve been bitten (generally, death can be expected within approx. 10 to 60 seconds).
