Rag = Newspaper.
<rant mode>As for the piece, it's likely an opinion column for a retired journalist who, like every working journalist who has attempted to look at WorldCom, has barely scratched the surface of the global corporation's complexity. My fume is that shoddy writing of this sort will cause harm to a good company, and not because of wrong the company has committed, but through sheer ignorance of those entrusted with the chore of explaining the world to people -- the same people these same journalists insist "have a right to know."
Well, I suppose they should also have a right to know the facts, not just the hyped guesses of those “investigative” reporters who are too damned lazy to get up off their butts and learn enough subject material to report those facts. Everything "Everything" the media has printed regarding WorldCom since Sidgmore came on as CEO was handed to them on a silver platter -- by WorldCom.</rant mode>
Dan (the media will probably never get it)
